Due to recent successful funding application we are now recruiting 10 experienced Health & Social Care NVQ/QCF Assessors for the North West region.
The role involves working with the management team to deliver focused training and support including assessing Health & Social Care L2/3 Apprenticeships to a case load of 40 learner.

You will be responsible for completing all the necessary paperwork, assessing the candidates competency and key skills, recruiting new learners, and there is excellent scope for career progression.

Essential to this position is that you:

    • Have achieved the NVQ Assessor D32/33 or A1 qualification.
    • Previous experience of delivering Health & Social Care NVQ/Apprenticeship L2/3 qualifications including key skills and technical certificates.
    • You must be able to show previous occupational competence.
    • Driver with access to vehicle at all times

Your role will include:-
    • Supporting and assisting learners with their progression from induction to achievement of a QCF or Apprenticeship qualification
    • Meet with your learners on a monthly basis
    • Carry out observations with learners
    • Ensure all audit paperwork is accurate and kept up to date
    • Work towards agreed targets & objectives

Main job purpose:
 
As Training Officer it is your responsibility for the design / delivery of focused training for Support Workers, including QCF qualifications Who specialise in providing person centered care and support for older people and adults with disabilities, encompassing people with complex and specialised care needs. The nature of the training officer role is industry-specific. From a training prospective taking responsibility for quality and standard of care / support, includes management of training and quality processes.

SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE & QUALIFICATIONS:

Essential Criteria

    • Minimum of PTTLS qualification or equivalent professional training specific qualification.
    • Ability to deliver training effectively encompassing a wide variety of learners.
    • Previous experience in training design / delivery and evaluation.
    • A personal track record of working towards and achieving training outcomes.
    • Ability to communicate effectively at all levels.
    • Full driving license and access to a vehicle.
    • IT and keyboard literate

KEY RESULT AREA 1: Update and deliver training on an ongoing basis.

To plan and organise new staff induction process, maintain high demands (typically 10 / 15 starters per month) of induction and plan, organise, and review shadowing of support workers.

    • Producing/updating training plan
    • Carry out company induction training programme to meet and exceed care standards and statutory requirements.
    • Evaluate effectiveness of training.
    • Devise individual learning plans (SWALK Kits).
    • Working with line managers and senior support workers to solve specific training problems, either on a one-to-one basis or in groups.
    • Liaising with senior co-ordinator to match new starter’s capabilities to service provision, arrange shadowing as appropriate.
    • Evaluate quality of service provision, identifying and responding to any training needs.
    • Liaising with Services Office to ensure new starters have appropriate support during induction period.
    • Producing training materials for in-house courses.
    • Managing the delivery of training and development program’s and, devising a training strategy for the organisation within the scope of any special projects.
    • Liaising with training providers.

KEY RESULT AREA 2: Administration

    • Maintain records relevant to staff development / support required.
    • Data input.
    • Implementing identified improvements.
    • Planning and scheduling QCF’s
    • Managing day to day usage of training facilities

KEY RESULT AREA 3: Personal Development

    • Keeping up to date with developments in training by reading relevant journals, going to meetings and attending relevant courses
    • Develop and maintain a clear understanding of e-learning techniques to incorporate into company training facility.
    • Develop and maintain learning zone.
    • Being a role model for ‘personalization’ within the company.
    • Produce monthly training analysis reports.
    • To be passionate about impact that learning and development has on individual and team performance.
    • Creating a learning environment.

KEY RESULT AREA 4: Special projects.
 
Support management team with special projects, The nature and rapid growth of our business requires constant assessment of training needs; these include managing the delivery of training and development programme’s and, devising strategy for the organisation within the scope of any special projects.
