What does a homecare job entail?..

Support Workers work through an individual’s ‘personal support plan’. You will help with a wide range of daily living tasks, whilst still encouraging them to regain their independence. These include; helping to wash and dress, helping to prepare meals, medication prompts and continence management.

Specialised Support Workers offer home care and support to those who may have increased or specific needs due to one of a number of conditions that Starcare is qualified to support.

To ensure that the service we are providing is to the highest possible quality, our Senior Support Workers carry out a supervisory role, as well as extensive training, to ensure that all standards are met and ultimately exceeded.

Do I need previous experience?…

Previous experience is always desirable, however, if you are a compassionate, self motivated, organised and adaptable person with a full UK driving licence and an NVQ2 or above in the care industry or equivalent, we would love to hear from you.

Training and development

Our Senior Support team actively encourage ‘person centred’ thinking. They are highly experienced and trained to support, mentor and promote quality and effective approaches with our multi-disciplinary team of Support Workers.
